What happens during the treatment?
Before the treatment takes place, anaesthetic cream is applied to the area ensuring the skin is numb and making the procedure comfortable and pain free. Our cosmetic practitioner will carefully run the Dermaroller across the area, producing thousands of micro-medical needle-columns in the skin stimulating new growth.
The treatment normally takes a maximum of 2 hours
Following the procedure
The body will start to naturally regenerate and repair the skin, working below the surface in the dermis. This takes time as new collagen is formed, new skin cells are generated and blood supply is enhanced. It can take up to 6 weeks before visible signs of regeneration and repair are seen and the process will continue over the following months, providing you with a natural and long lasting enhancement.
In some cases of acne, more than one treatment may be required with approximately 6 weeks between them.
